About AKITA

AKITA is the product line by Finnadvance Ltd., a Finnish biotechnology company that develops highly scalable organ-on-chip platforms. By enabling physiological model developments, drug development and research can be significantly accelerated, more cost and resource efficient, while producing more reliable results. We provide the highest throughput platforms with accurate biological modeling.

Why Choose AKITA

Conventional in-vitro methods in early stage research do not produce reliable results when evaluating drug or therapy efficacy and toxicology in humans. The cells need very specific microphysiological conditions and stimuli to function as they do in the body. Hard two-dimensional static plastic does not induce the cells to exhibit similar protein or gene expression as in vivo. The conventional well plates and petri dishes also aren’t optimal for co-culturing multiple cell lines simultaneously.

AKITA’s platform is designed to recreate various microphysiological conditions. Our proprietary design and surface chemistry allow cell adhesion and growth. Learn more about how the platform works here.

Vision

We want to enable rapid development of innovative therapies and create better life for humankind.

AKITA is on a mission to create a better life for every human being, regardless of race, gender and socioeconomic status. We are enabling cheaper and more effective drugs for both pharmaceutical companies and patients.

Mission

AKITA is engineering platforms and working with leading biotechnologists towards developing new drugs and therapies. Our founder, Prateek Singh founded the company three years ago out of a realization that current lab practices do not produce accurate and reliable results. AKITA was born - To give better tools for researchers and developers and better chances to succeed.

Our Quality promise

AKITA is dedicated to building a disease-free society, improving patient health and delivering high standard platforms for research, development and QC of pharmaceutical products, that not only meet the customers’ and the industry's standards, but exceed them.

AKITA's business practices, not limited to experimentation, product development , documentation and control, are always in strict compliance with applicable industry regulations, codes and standards.

AKITA's management is committed to quality standards set by ISO 9001, and is rigorously and continuously updating and evaluating its quality strategy.
